Reflecting back and looking forward!

It's the time of the year again, where we celebrate our success and we look forward to a better year..!
2007 was a very BIG year for Chantiq Skaly House of Kebaya together with the other sister labels within the Asian Atelier International. We analyzed our successes and failures to make a better 2008, that's how we do it and I am all excited about the prospects 2008 may bring..
We had improved our overall system of pre-production,production and post-production of kebaya and increased the numbers of representatives worldwide in line with next year's plan. I would like to thank Marianne Hulsbosch from Australia who has helped us explore possibilities, Yanti in Paris and Huck in Taiwan ,Kak Azimah from Majalah Wanita for her support and the growing team in Asian Atelier International who shares the same dream as I do...
We bring a whole new retail experience to Asia and a whole new cultured experience from Asia back to the other parts of the world.
A special thank you to the support team Iris Leau,Tania and Mimit, Rin, Faisol,Nurina,Ween,Nad,Ninna,the Anis Family and a BIG thank you to my husband, Adlis K who has been with me through all the travellings,meetings and travelling !

Once upon a time....
|

many many years ago ( i wasnt even born yet..) my late grand uncle was a batik supplier in Kuala Lumpur. He had a big store in Jalan TAR and his clients were big names including the father of independence...
Before he passed away, there were boxes and boxes of batik stored away to be given as gifts to people - rich or poor, whereby in arabic we call it as "shadaqah".
I received a few from him and my all time favourite batik- the pekalongan batik. In line with my S/S 2008 collections, we will see a lot of pekalongan art. I thank him for the beautiful gifts..

What's your dream wedding look?

I would usually ask this question to my clients when brainstorming ideas for their wedding kebayas.
I realized, usually there may be confusion with the wedding theme..concentration is more towards the wedding theme or color instead of the specific "look" the bride may have in mind or even their subconcious mind!
So, my advice would be to ask yourself,how do you want to look like? a princess bride,bohemian bride,classic vintage bride,sophisticated bride or if you wear hijab, you may want an innovative style instead of the common style you wear day to day..
At Chantiq Skaly, we focus on this and ensuring all our clients get the look they want and we would be happy to help with finding the right accessories and make up artist. My dear friend, Ezral who did my face for all my receptions did a great job and I was very pleased.
My solemnization was supposed to carry the vintage classic look with hijab whereas my dinner was the dramatic look and I wore my own design and latest collection "Vavavoom" fall/winter 2007. At the final reception, i carried the pricess bride look and it definitely feels great to be able to orchestrate the wedding look I've always dreamed of and you can too..

Hello everyone,
It's been a fantabulous 2006 and I am very excited in welcoming yet another busy year for Chantiq Skaly. As we kick start the year with a fresh website and logo to suit the whole package Chantiq Skaly has to offer. With Asian Atelier, as the active holding company, we will be penetrating the North Asia market through the upcoming exhibitions before the year ends.
Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg.. this year's highlights would be the launch of "Va Va Voom" haute couture in 3 cities in APAC and the vintage inspired wedding kebaya for Muslim Brides' wearing hijabs. I try to ensure that each year we have beautiful kebaya designs to suit all lifestyles. Having said this, we will have an event planned in March called "Kebaya & Batik" Event to showcase all our kebayas for all lifestyles - young and old, big and small.
I take this opportunity to also thank my team of creative partners' Tania L,Tinong,Iris Leau,Nurina A.,Adlis K and my operational staffs for the support and the beautiful work everyone put together throughout our never-ending tight deadlines!

We are pleased to announce that Chantiq Skaly is going through facelifting
A new website and logo will be launched as the clock strikes 12 on the 31st December 2006! We are so excited about it! There will be fashion shows planned in Kuala Lumpur,Singapore and Jakarta in the 1st quarter of 2007 to showcase our coutures.
