We are pleased to announce that Chantiq Skaly is going through facelifting 
A new website and logo will be launched as the clock strikes 12 on the 31st December 2006! We are so excited about it! There will be fashion shows planned in Kuala Lumpur,Singapore and Jakarta in the 1st quarter of 2007 to showcase our coutures.

The New Faces of Chantiq Skaly - Farahdhiya and Sheera
|
|
Sheera, an upcoming actress who has been seen regularly on the malaysian drama series ie Sembilu Kasih and Janji Diana has been chosen as one of the new faces of Chantiq Skaly House of Kebaya. Sheera wore the contemporary kebaya designed by our partner Tinong to the Malaysian Film Festival recently.
Farahdhiya, the singing sensation will also grace the covers and prints of Chantiq Skaly House of Kebaya and had worn the beautiful blue kebaya designed by Alin Anuar to the most talked about wedding reception of Datin Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk Khalid Jiwa.
Chantiq Skaly will be showcasing our latest couture collection at the Singapore Fashion Week on the 2nd of November 2006-4th November 2006 in Singapore.

How to look great in a kebaya?
|

I always....always here this whining ~"im fat! kebaya is just not for me!"
Let me share with you quick tips on how to make kebaya works for your body:
1) Select the right cutting/tailoring method for your kebaya -I would recommend the princess cut!
2) Select a darker base color & lighter beading/embroidery tone
3) You can select a kebaya design with thin sash around your waist.
4) Last but not least! Normally, kebaya comes with a corset, the corsets are meant to create a slender sillhoutte & cut some inches.

Casual Kebaya

A few years ago, I was at a show in Jakarta & saw one of Indonesia's popular celebrity in Nyonya Kebaya top paired with beaded bell-bottom jeans & batik wrap-around. I fell in love with the idea immediately! I started to play around with a lot of other similar ideas including sewing a batik skirt for myself & wore it with short sleeve kebaya....that was in 2001.
Today, I am beginning to see more different styles & creativity set forth by not only celebrities but people you see on the streets. Now, kebaya can be worn for work & play. Not just occassionally...
So, I would like to share this idea with you, on how you can wear a cheongsam tuxedo kebaya with a batik pants...
From time to time, I will share more fashion update through Chantiq Skaly's online catalog & hope to be a value added service to all the kebaya lovers' out there...
